Favorites: CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE

Just kidding, suckers! This post isn’t actually about cake. Although speaking of cake, we did have some freakin’ delicious tres leches cake for our bro (you may know him as JKF’s director), Casey’s birthday.

But that’s not important. Anyway, it’s Wednesday again and while we’re hustling away in the office to make some magic happen for you all, we’ve decided to take a break and tell you guys some random ass shit about ourselves. Why? Simply because it’s good to know random facts. They’re great for conversation starters.

As mentioned before in our “JKF Animals” post, three things all of us in the JKF office will always agree on is that we love to laugh, we love furry little monsters, and we love to eat. It’s become a problem for us when it comes to deciding on where we should eat; we could probably agree on which one of us would be sacrificed to a fire breathing dragon quicker than we could agree on where to eat lunch. To help solve this dilemma, each of us from the JKF Fam had to lay it all on the table and answer one question:

What’s your favorite type of food?

Bart: I have three favorite types of food; sushi, Italian, and southern BBQ. The first is Southern BBQ. Nothing beats fall-off-the-bone tender ass meat with a deep smokey flavor. I like BBQ baby back ribs, pork spare ribs, beef ribs, and brisket. Baby back and brisket are my favorite. I am a BBQ connoisseur, so I have extremely high standards for BBQ. If you think you know BBQ, you better slap yourself twice before you try to tell me what good BBQ is. Chances are, you’re a BBQ white belt. What most people don’t know is that the ribs you get at most restaurants aren’t even considered BBQ. They’re all made St. Louis style, which means boiled till soft, put in an oven, and then smothered with BBQ sauce. That is the cheater’s way to make BBQ. Real BBQ is made with indirect heat; the  meat is cooked by the smoke, not by the fire.

Joe:  I love BBQ and Southern cuisine! Fried chicken! Crawfish! MM MMM MMMMMM! WATERMELON!

Geo: I love love love Mexican food (I love the mixture of herbs and spices), but that shit is soooooo unhealthy lol. I’m also a huge fan of Italian, Korean, Ethiopian, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Peruvian, Brazilian, Taiwanese,  Southern BBQ, and American diner style. I JUST started my love affair with sushi. Before last month, I HATED raw fish, but I had a dream I was eating it and since then, I can’t stop wanting to eat it… addicted.

…I’m hungry!

Casey: Sushi, seafood, BBQ, KBBQ, Chinese BBQ, Hainan Chicken, Ice Cream. And if it’s not being too broad, I’m gonna go ahead and say a Vegas-styled buffet.

Tommy: If I had to choose one… my favorite type of food would be Japanese food. I grew up around the Japanese culture, so that’s probably why. But! I love all sorts of foods!

Kevin: Steak or Sushi. Yeah, I have expensive taste.

Anh: My favourite type of food is dim sum. I love carbs (especially rice cake ‘Asian style’), so dim sum and its dumplings and rice noodles are perfect. And the small portions are awesome because you can get a little taste of everything. My favourite dim sum item is the shrimp noodle with the diluted soy sauce that always comes out of the teapot. I wish dim sum was served all hours of the day.

Anhieee: My favorite type of food would be cheese with a side of carbs. I tend to eat a lot of mac’n'cheese, quesadillas, sandwiches, noodles, and burgers. I absolutely love extra cheese in everything. EVERYTHING. Except ice-cream…not! Extra cheese in that too, please. Mascarpone is freakin’ delicious! I’ll take it a waffle cone, thanks.

Daniel: My favorite type of food is anything fried and with chicken. Chicken nuggets are probably the best because you can eat them in bed without getting crumbs everywhere.

Bruce: My favorite type of food has to be sushi! I like to eat raw stuff and I also love to eat the sushi rolls. I love that raw tuna and salmon. I like it RAW <3

Well, it’s settled. We’re having heart attacks and clogged arteries for the rest of the week.
