Official JK Office Warming BBQ

This past weekend, we were fortunate enough to invite some of our best and closest supporters over to have a BBQ and spend some time with us celebrating for our official JK office warming party. What happens when you get a room full of talented musicians/dancers/singers, foodies, and overall dope ass people? A whoooole lotta love. Check out the recap for what went down.

So this is the latest addition to our office decor. Everyone is greeted in the hallway entrance by a splatter painted “Wall of Shame.” Which in our case, was just a wall of childhood photos from everyone on the JK team. Nothing can remind you more of how far you’ve gotten than photos of you with bowl cuts, side ponytails, and onesies. Damn, we’ve gotten so much more stylish.

Bart actually burned off the tips of his hair while getting the BBQ started. He really took one for the team.

Bruce and Bart being men.

Legit carne asada and corn tortillas on the grill

GAWDDDDDDD. Drool factor.

We also had pork ribs on the grill. It’s not a BBQ unless there’s ribs.

Joe jamming on the guitar

Casey.. trying to play.. jk… he can actually play.

Joe brought some homemade sweet tea that had a slight horchata twist to it. BOMB.

We do parties right; equipped with red plastic cups and Sharpies.

Anh and Geo having a romantic candlelight din— wait, what?
Anh and Geo gazing lovingly into each other’s– wait…….
What?

Danielle and Julie doing their thang… plus Farah

Tom Ngo enjoying some delicious ribs.

Kevin’s parents stopped by to show us some love and support!

Phillip and Danielle

David So showed up with some bacon themed dishes: baked mac’n'cheese, gumbo, and quiche. Anhieee was super excited.

Eugene, Kyle, and Vivian from Formula Arts showed up to represent

There was so much creative flow going on. A jam session started and went on for a couple of hours.

Jai Alex

…and Joe Cho were slappin’ the bass

While Can from Poreotics jumped on the keyboards

Our company and audience watched the jam from outside the office

Meanwhile, indoors, Fight Club was being viewed in the conference/chill room

And no party is complete without cake, so we ended the BBQ with the cutting of the most boss cake ever.

Family, friends, food, and music. What more could we ask for? Thanks everyone who came out to show us some love and support. And to all the fans out there, we wish you could’ve celebrated with us too! We wouldn’t be where we are without you all. Thanks for making it all possible.
