The Best of JustKiddingFilms… So Far.

Whaddup everybody! Every Monday, we have a weekly meeting here in the JK office. Everyone gets a chance to discuss what’s going on with them for that week and where we’re headed as a team. In the midst of sharing and talking about our future goals, we couldn’t help but look back on where we started and what we’ve done. We started chattin’ it up about our past skits and music videos; some were hella dope and some were just straight up whack. With roughly ten heads in the office, you know the claws always come out when there’s opinions being thrown around.

What is your favorite JustKiddingFilms skit and why?

Bart: I don’t have a favorite JK skit. I love all of them. Some of my favorite ones have the worst views too, you fuckers LOL.

Joe: I love them ALL! They are all my babies, but if you’re going to put a cannon to my forehead and force me to answer… I LOVE “CLUBBING 101.”

Geo: I have too many BUT “Unco Same Gets Jacked” is what made me crack the hell up.

Casey: ”Crazy Asian Parent.” That skit encompasses so much of what a lot of Asian Americans go through with their parents. The relate-ability in the material itself presents a lot of humor. However, I loved the writing in that skit. Everything from character motivations to pop culture references were so on point, that it made my job very easy as a filmmaker to execute. The writing drove the skit… no action sequences, hot girl, guns, or slapstick. Just quality writing and quality acting.

“Clubbing 101.” This is the skit that introduced me to JustKiddingFilms. This video is LEGENDARY. The most amazing thing about this video is the fact that it was all done in one take. And in doing so, they managed to do a social commentary on how Asian guys are shy and introverted. Words of encouragement. Made me wanna go fuck the next white girl I saw.

Tommy: Just watch it. My life. hahaha

That’s not really a skit so I would put this as my favorite. My high school life in 4 mins.

Kevin: My, I have a few. 1) “Unco Same Gets Jacked” 2) “Dancing 101″ 3) “Vlog fail (Unco Same gets run over by a car)” 4) “It’s Cold!!!” 5) “Shit Asian Dads Say” (I’m in “It’s Cold” & “Shit Asian Dads Say”).

Anh: My all-time favorite JK skit is “Asian Accents” with the Uncos featuring Leah Walczak, Notorious MSG, and mychonny. The reason for this is because that’s where Unco Same says, “Unco Chin Unco Chin, you not gonna believe what da heo just happen! I got dis horse and I was spray-painting it and den it became da zebra!” That’s one of my favorite lines of all-time! And shoot, it also helped me meet the JKFam for the first time ever before I came into the company. But that’s a story for another day.

Anhieee: My favorite JK skit would probably be “FML Mama.” Bart in a onesie and Joe in drag? Hell yeah. I like it when guys can be comfortable with their sexuality. Or maybe I just like men in baby clothes and makeup. I also like “Accidentally G@y.” It’s just funny and it happens way too fucking much around me. Got me chanting it in my head all day.

Daniel: I like either “Role Reversal: Girl on Girl”… or “Lady Self Defense.” Probably the self defense one just because Daniel and Samuel are my favorite JK characters, and I like it when Joe says, “Are you sick and tired of men touching you in your no-no area?!” Best line ever.
